When I learned how to make pesto, I loved it even more. I enjoy adding ingredients and trying out new greens every time.
The combination of bright pesto flavors with al dente whole wheat pasta and lots of veggies is a great dish for anytime of the year.
Cooking shows should be inspirational, but far too often I think they scare people off. I’ve heard people get intimidated by the perfect looking food and worse yet the sexy people cooking who never seem to break a sweat or have a dirty kitchen.

To wrap up 2013 I whipped up a batch of Jambalaya packed with flavor and spice. By combining ingredients from a few different recipes I put my own spin on this traditional creole dish. It was the perfect dish to end the year on and of course paired perfectly with some bubbly.
