For 2013 I decided to jazz up my restaurant reviews a bit. I’ll keep them short and sweet but full of photos because really that’s the good stuff!
The Scoop
La Piazza Al Forno was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives our favorite Food Network show a few years ago. Its located in the north Phoenix neighborhood of Glendale, AZ. Its a brick oven pizzeria featuring super thin crust pizzas filled with fresh Italian ingredients.
The Vibe
The restaurant features a small dining room with about 20 tables and a great outdoor patio overlooking the streets of old town Glendale. The beautiful brick oven is truly the prominent feature at La Piazza.
The Food
Yum! That was my first word when tasting every bite at La Piazza. The flavors were bright, fresh and unique. Great combos of high quality Italian ingredients, fresh produce and meats made the pizzas go fast at our table. Thin crusts always make me feel better when eating pizza- so of course I happily tried all three kinds! We had the Italian Stallion, Bianca and Mediterranean pizzas and loved them all. Another highlight was the spinach salad topped with a bacon balsamic dressing that was as you can imagine out of this world good. Bacon + spinach = delicious.

The Triple D swag on the walls.
The Verdict
La Piazza is a must visit spot next time you are in Phoenix. Come hungry and be prepared to share your meals. Family style is the best way to order!
